New York, NY (PRWEB) June 19, 2012

Connected TV continues to see dramatic rise in deployments, consumer adoption, innovations and the marketing opportunities that follow behind the medium. According to FC Business Intelligence, over $3 billion was spent last year on online video and digital advertising is expected to grow 20% globally over the next few years. Founded in December of 2011, the Connected TV Marketing Association was established to serve as the trade body of the industry, helping facilitate the emerging commercial opportunities of the platform. With business initiatives flourishing in the space, the CTVMA has been rapidly setting forth their planned and future endeavors along with a strong board appointed to lead the charge.

As the connected TV ecosystem develops, the Association has begun an industry-wide consultation process to establish a wide array of committees, educational curriculum and research databases. Planned committees include: New Media/ Emerging TV Innovations, Education and Accreditation Planning, Ad Standards and Regulatory Watch. These groups/committees will serve as independently functioning consortium to tackle challenges as well as monitor and discover new opportunities.

In order to address the growing need in the space, the CTVMA has engaged top minds in a variety of sectors to act as the leading body of the association and to help set forth a robust educational and operational working order for the industry at large.

The inaugural Board elections were completed and officiated in May and the membership includes:
