Joseph McCahill Joins PerfectServe as Web & Mobile Product Manager

Clinical communications leader continues expanding Knoxville office

Joseph McCahill has joined PerfectServe as its first web and mobile product manager.

He will play a major role in the creation of the next generation of our mobile and web applications specifically designed for clinicians at the point of care.

PerfectServe, the leading platform for intelligent clinical communications services, today announced that Joseph McCahill joined the company as its first web and mobile product manager. Since January, the company headquartered in Knoxville, Tenn., has hired 67 new employees, which is more than a 60 percent staffing increase over the past six months.

McCahill is responsible for leading the visual and experience design efforts for PerfectServe’s website and mobile applications, which physicians and nurses use to facilitate clinical communications that improve care coordination and reduce medical errors.

McCahill began his design career at America Online (AOL) as a graphic user interface designer where he designed a variety of high profile websites and applications such as AOL Call Alert and AIM Express. After AOL, he spent several years building nicojupe.com, a technology design consulting business. While at nicojupe.com, he designed for companies including The George Mason University, NASA, Sprint Communications and Verizon Wireless.

McCahill is the founder of the Social Learning Design Group, a learning community for media design professionals with an interest in social media strategy design and management. He has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the George Washington University, and a master’s degree in instructional technology from the George Mason University.
