Desert Schools launched their program last year to provide it’s more than 320,000 members with a simplified, no-stress auto-buying experience. The program offers low, established pricing on most makes and models through a select network of participating dealerships. Credit Union members are able to research vehicle options, search used vehicle inventory and locate a participating Desert Schools dealership using the Click Buy & Drive website. To help simplify the car-buying process and maximize savings even more, members apply for a low-rate auto loan from Desert Schools before visiting the dealership.
“The value of the program is evident in the number of members who use it,” said Gary Sneed, Chief Lending Officer at Desert Schools. “Since the program’s launch, approximately 20,000 members visited the Click Buy & Drive website; of those who requested a dealer referral, 78 percent visited a program dealer, 73 percent of members who were preapproved for a loan before visiting a participating dealer purchased a new or used vehicle.”
Click Buy & Drive provides specialized member support at the dealership and its customer support center to ensure Credit Union members have an exceptional buying experience. Trained Dealer Specialists at the dealership provide members with the best-possible buying experience by following strict standards for exclusive member savings and VIP service. Click Buy & Drive surveys all members who use the program to gauge their purchasing experience and ensure that participating dealerships are meeting the Credit Union’s expectations for great service. As a result of its first-rate service, Click, Buy & Drive receives high marks. Approximately 97 percent of members surveyed said they were extremely satisfied with the program and 96 percent said they would recommend the program to friends and family.
