Long Island, New York (PRWEB) June 16, 2012
New York City Comptroller, John Liu, released a statement Thursday regarding his plan to change income tax rates; causing New York accounting company Beaton Accounting to announce a new program to help New Yorkers with the change. Under the new plan income taxes for 99 percent of New Yorker’s will be lowered and tax rates for joint filers who make more than $500,000 a year will be raised.
Liu released the statement to the public stating he believes the city’s income tax system is unfair. The new plan will usher in change for many New York City residents, as families earning $1 million a year or more will see their city income tax rate rise from 3.7 to 4.3 percent. The plan was initiated by the comptroller to help close budget deficits in New York, but has many residents of the city concerned about how the income taxes will alter their financial situation.
In light of these issues Beaton Accounting made their program announcement that will offer free consultations to new customers, wanting to know more about these NYC income tax changes. Since the proposed deal will impact all New York City residents, the company hopes that the new program will encourage New Yorkers to get the professional income tax return preparation needed to make the appropriate adjustments. The free consultation program, along with information regarding NYC tax preparation has launched on Beaton Accounting’s website and can be used by any New York resident looking for income tax return preparation assistance.
