A Course In Miracles International is again inviting everyone to join its Teachers of God in a series of daily audio internet broadcasts of specific “Forgiveness” lessons from the Workbook of A Course In Miracles. The lessons are broadcast at 4:00 PM CDT on the “International Forgiveness Week Show” on spreaker.com and can also be accessed from the program page of http://www.forgivenessweek.org
Billed as “a continuing invitation to a celebration of International Forgiveness Week and Weekend of Perfect Peace (September 14 – 23, 2012), the daily podcasts have already been played over a thousand times by well over seven hundred listeners.
According to producer and illuminate Teacher of God, Jubi, “These broadcasts can be seen as a sort of “prelude” to the celebration of International Forgiveness Week and Weekend of Perfect Peace in September. The broadcasts are intended for everyone. The purpose of the International Forgiveness Week Show is the purpose of A Course In Miracles i.e. to train your mind in a systematic way to a different perception of everyone and everything in the world. It is for the sole purpose of the transformation or awakening of the human mind. Only that can really be called forgiveness.
“As Jesus Christ says in A Course In Miracles,” continued Jubi, “‘This course offers a very direct and a very simple learning situation, and provides the Guide Who tells you what to do. If you do it, you will see that it works. Its results are more convincing than its words. They will convince you that the words are true. By following the right Guide, you will learn the simplest of all lessons: By their fruits ye shall know them, and they shall know themselves.’”
“Jesus goes on to say, ‘Forgiveness is for God and toward God but not of Him. It is impossible to think of anything He created that could need forgiveness. Forgiveness, then, is an illusion, but because of its purpose, which is the Holy Spirit's, it has one difference. Unlike all other illusions it leads away from error and not towards it.’
“’Forgiveness might be called a kind of happy fiction; a way in which the unknowing can bridge the gap between their perception and the truth. They cannot go directly from perception to knowledge because they do not think it is their will to do so. This makes God appear to be an enemy instead of what He really is. And it is just this insane perception that makes them unwilling merely to rise up and to return to Him in peace. And so they need an illusion of help because they are helpless; a Thought of peace because they are in conflict. God knows what His Son needs before he asks. He is not at all concerned with form, but having given the content it is His Will that it be understood. And that suffices. The form adapts itself to need; the content is unchanging, as eternal as its Creator.’”
“It is important to remember, as Jesus explains, that ‘You are at home in God, dreaming of exile but perfectly capable of awakening to reality. Is it your decision to do so? You recognize from your own experience that what you see in dreams you think is real while you are asleep. Yet the instant you waken you realize that everything that seemed to happen in the dream did not happen at all. You do not think this strange, even though all the laws of what you awaken to were violated while you slept. Is it not possible that you merely shifted from one dream to another, without really waking?’”
“It is the purpose of the Course to awaken you,” concluded Jubi.
