Stickam.com is proud to announce that it has partnered with Vans Warped Tour to provide fans with extensive live backstage coverage, band interviews, and acoustic performances throughout this Summer’s tour, which kicked off June 16 in Salt Lake City.
Vans Warped Tour 2012, the festival’s 19th year, brings together over 90 bands for a 41 date tour across the US. Since April 1, Stickam has featured a dozen live chats with various bands form the tour, including Pierce The Veil and Of Mice and Men, each of which became worldwide trending Twitter topics during their respective webcasts.
Last year, Stickam teamed with the band Gym Class Heroes to stream live backstage from the tour. The band’s coverage garnered over 2 million views over the course of the tour.
Monster Energy Pit Reporter Amy Willard will be anchoring the live backstage coverage, which promises to include daily interviews as well as some impromptu acoustic performances and more.
“For us, this partnership is a natural. We have had wonderful and longstanding relationships with both Vans and Warped Tour for years, and more than two dozen of this year’s touring artists currently use Stickam’s platform to chat live with their fans and to stream shows,” says Stickam’s Executive Director Hideki Kishioka.
Stickam.com is home to hundreds of live band and music chats each week, including regularly scheduled and improptu webcasts by artists including Andrew W.K., Blood On The Dance Floor, Boys Like Girls, Never Shout Never and many more.
“Stickam offers our fans a unique and interactive way to engage with Warped bands and artists. The communication through Stickam takes online engagement to the next level offering fans a way to chat with their favorite artists. We have been seeing record numbers for the chats leading up to the tour with such 2012 Warped artists as Breathe Carolina, Mayday Parade and Of Mice & Men and are very excited about the live chats on the road this summer,” says Paul Kersh, Vans Warped Tour Online Marketing Manager.
All live coverage will stream from the official Vans Warped Tour Stickam channel at http://www.stickam.com/vanswt.
