This collaboration with AARP has given Get Real the opportunity to reach a segment of the population that may not necessarily be aware of the benefits of on-line health management
Rockville, MD (PRWEB) June 18, 2012
June 18, 2012- Get Real Consulting today announced the launch of the AARP Health Record. The application architected and developed by Get Real, is a secure web based solution designed to empower people over 50 to manage and improve their own health. This application, free to members and available directly at https://healthrecords.aarp.org allows users to enter, store and edit their personal health information in a central location and to selectively share it with caregivers, family members, doctors and other healthcare providers.
AARP Health Record is powered by Microsoft HealthVault, a trusted central data repository that allows consumers to organize, store, and share health information online. Being part of the HealthVault ecosystem, allows the users of this tool to share or retrieve their health information to and from other service providers seamlessly. The tool also allows AARP members to create and store health information records of other members in their family.
“This collaboration with AARP has given Get Real the opportunity to reach a segment of the population that may not necessarily be aware of the benefits of on-line health management. As long-time advocates of electronic health records and the leading developer of Health Vault applications world-wide, Get Real is thrilled to see the benefits of e-health spanning the generations,” said Get Real President Robin Wiener.
“AARP Health Record is designed to help our members better manage their health so they can focus on the things they care about most — enjoying the happiness and peace of mind that comes from living life to the fullest,” said AARP Vice President Nicole Duritz. “In today’s digital environment, AARP Health Record is the right resource at the right time.”
