Balboa Press Author, Phone Psychic Signs Deal with Tagline Pictures

Balboa Press, a division of Hay House Inc., and leading self-publisher of personal empowerment books with a positive message, today announced that author Alyson Mead has signed a deal with Tagline Pictures, the producers behind the hit USA Network television series “PSYCH” with a first-look deal at NBC Universal’s Universal Cable Productions, to develop her book, “Searching for Sassy: An L.A. Phone Psychic's Tales of Life, Lust & Love” as a potential television series.

Alyson Mead was originally discovered at Book-to-Screen PitchFest New York, a Balboa Press/Author Solutions, Inc. event, where over 150 authors were each given the opportunity to turn their books into pitches for entertainment executives. Mead’s “Searching for Sassy” pitch generated interest from four companies, and ultimately she found a home with Tagline Pictures.
