The Narconon Arrowhead drug treatment facility has been said to work miracles. The organization takes an individual who has nearly destroyed him or herself through the use of drugs and not only rehabilitates the spirit but the body of the individual by standardly dealing with their basic health issues while in treatment.
Ruth Wilmore, who entered the residential facility in 2000 was suffering with a variety of health issues along with her drug addiction. As drugs took a toll on her body Ruth not only suffered with a bronchial infection while in treatment but also effects from thyroid radiation that caused her to have to take medications daily.
She was treated by the Narconon Arrowhead medical staff through antibiotics to treat her bronchial infection and continued on her regular prescribed medication to handle her thyroid problem while completing her rehabilitation.
While the residential facility at Narconon is not a hospital or a medical care facility for those with serious physical or psychiatric issues, it does provide necessary medical services and full supervision of clients. When each client enrolls on the Narconon program they undergo a full medical assessment by a doctor and it is determined if the facility can handle their medical needs while in treatment. Those with major medical issues are sent to other facilities that provide a higher level of care but some standard medical conditions like Diabetes, High Blood Pressure and even Thyroid problems have been successfully addressed through the medical staff at Narconon. This can be done while clients undergo their drug or alcohol recovery programs.
Because many drug users can experience health issues as a result of continued time on drugs Narconon has 24 hour medical supervision at their facility that services all clients that enroll onto the drug rehab program.
Like many others who enroll, Ruth completed the standard Narconon detox program called The New Life Detoxification program which is a sauna treatment. She then went onto the Life Skills portion of the treatment, successfully graduating the Narconon full program.
As a result of her treatment Ruth was able to repair relationships with her family members and rebuild her life. She has spent the last 12 ½ years clean and sober from drugs and her health has continued to improve with her abstinence from these substances as well as the implementation of good nutrition into her daily life.
She explains that she does not think there is any program out there that cares as much about their clients as Narconon Arrowhead. Wilmore is grateful every day to have her life back.
