Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) June 20, 2012
Explorys announced today that Iowa Health System (IHS) has joined the Explorys network to support their Accountable Care Organization (ACO) initiatives and overall mission of delivering the “Best Outcome for Every Patient Every Time."
IHS recognizes the need to leverage their data to deliver evidence-based care that will allow for effective care coordination, improved quality outcomes, and cost-effective care delivery. IHS recently implemented Iowa’s first commercial health plan ACO in collaboration with Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Iowa. In addition, two IHS affiliates were selected to participate in the Pioneer ACO, a transformative initiative sponsored by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Innovation Center. “The partnership with Explorys is a critical part of our integrated data strategy to support our transformation in health care delivery,” says Kathleen Cunningham, Executive Director, IHS Accountable Care Strategies. “This partnership will allow us to aggregate, analyze, and research our clinical, operational, and financial data across our Integrated Care Organization and care delivery system.”
“IHS has been recognized as a leader in the innovation of care delivery. We are excited to partner with them as they lead transformations that will be critical to shaping the future of health care,” said Explorys CEO, Stephen McHale. IHS is leveraging the Explorys secure cloud-computing data platform, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) software applications, and informatics for population management, risk mitigation, and quality and performance measurement and management. “Explorys’ innovative technology supports our focus on a value-based care delivery system that provides the highest quality of care in a coordinated effort across the continuum,” said IHS CIO and Vice President, Joy Grosser.
