In 1940, the school was moved to its present location, nestled peacefully two miles west of downtown. This location puts St. Thomas within two minutes of the many cultural centers of Houston and makes it easily accessible to all ethnic and socio-economic groups. To add to the list of philanthropic initiatives, the upper classmen offer community service to the Soup Kitchen, Casa Juan Diego, Food Bank, Volunteer Center, and Habitat for Humanity.
