FC Barcelona are set to officially kick off their U.S. Youth Soccer Camps by holding a News Confrence in New York City.
The News Conference is to be held at the Eventi Hotel, 851 6th Avenue New York NY 10001, on Friday June 22, 2012, at 1:30 P.M.
Rafa Marquez (FC Barcelona Special Guest, MLS New York Red Bulls Player), Mr. Juan José Castillo (Official representative of the FC Barcelona President’s Office) and Mr. Franc Carbó (USA FCBCamps Coordinator) will attend the conference.
Rafa Marquez who made 163 appearances for FC Barcelona (2003-2010) and has 111 caps for the Mexican National is currently playing for the New Red Bulls.
The Official FC Barcelona Youth Soccer Camps are limited to only 144 players for each camp and will be held in the cities of Los Angeles, San Jose, Portland, Seattle, San Antonio and New York. Summer Camp dates were annouced earlier this month.
The Los Angeles Camps will be held in July and August, New York Camps in July, Portland Camps in July and August, San Antonio Camps in July, San Jose and Seattle in August.
Registration for each camp is limited to only 144 participants for each of the five day camps.
For five days, FC Barcelona Based coaches, along with qualified local coaches, will transform these cities into an FCB Escola training camp with all of its values, discipline and training. FCB training and youth academy have produced superstars such as Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas, Xavi Hernandez, Gerard Pique, Victor Valdes, Carlos Puyol and Andres Iniesta, to name a few.
