On Friday, June 8, all CSI Finance Account Directors and Vendor Enrollment Managers participated in the Institute of Finance and Management’s and The Accounts Payable Network’s jointly developed Accounts Payable Certification Program. The course consisted of an all-day lecture that culminated with a certification test covering a variety of topics from internal controls and process functions, to vendor relations, and tax and regulatory information.

The Accredited Payables Specialist designations set the standard in the Accounts Payable profession and are global symbols of excellence. According to TAPN, since 2003, more than 6,000 AP professionals around the world have enrolled in the APS program. These designations demonstrate professional commitment and mastery of core topics and knowledge of emerging issues in AP and finance. The certifications signify that an individual has demonstrated the knowledge and skills required to perform well in today's complex AP environment.

All CSI staff members that participated in the program passed the certification test and now receive recognition as Accredited Payables Specialists. These members include; Mark Miles, Ryan Smith, Liane Eliason, Angela Davis, Michael Cole, Juliann Pless, Courtney Perry, Karen Hargrove, Pearl Reed, Sara Mack, and Stephanie Pawlowski.
