Parallel 6 Inc., a leading social media and mobile technology firm, has been nominated as a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal's 2012 Innovation Awards. The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 20 at The University Club in San Diego. The Innovation Awards was created with the vision to honor and acknowledge the people and organizations that continue to stretch boundaries and to recognize those individuals and companies who demonstrate how the innovative spirit drives economic value.

The companies nominated reside within San Diego County and were selected by an independent panel of judges. Parallel 6 was chosen as a finalist based on its innovation in marketing as a privately held company. Other categories for finalists include publicly traded companies, nonprofit organizations, business nonprofits, government agencies and education focused companies.
