Gryphon Wins Second Marketing Award from National Auctioneers Association & USA Today

Gryphon USA, Ltd. is pleased to announce that subsidiary United Country Gryphon Realty & Auction Group has won First Place in the Online Marketing Category of the National Auctioneers Association - USA Today Marketing Competition. The award was earned for their ePromotion materials designed to publicize an auction of assets from the closing of the Karlsberger Company.

The Karlsberger liquidation was a series of three separate auction events conducted in late 2011 and featuring the companies office assets, vehicles and original artwork located in Columbus, Ohio. The auctions, conducted entirely online, generated 241 registered bidders from 26 states; as far west as California and on the east coast stretching from Miami, FL to Albany, NY. At the conclusion of bidding, 10,484 individual bids were placed on the 580 lots and sales exceeded pre-auction expectations by over 27 percent.

The 2011 marketing competition received more than 650 entries judged by a panel of marketing and advertising professionals with backgrounds in branding, promotion, public relations and graphic design. Judging criteria included creativity, effectiveness, clarity and visual appeal.

The award was the second in as many years for Gryphon Realty & Auction Group. In 2010 the company was awarded First Place for Direct Mail Promotion in the category of Commercial and Industrial Machinery.
