The Telly Council recognized San Francisco-based Viewstream earlier this month by presenting the marketing agency with two Telly's at the prestigious 33rd Annual Telly Awards. The two minidocumentary-style videos were produced for Autodesk and Microsoft, and were recognized for their creativity and editing, respectively.

The first 2012 Telly Award given to Viewstream, a Bronze Award in the “Creative Video” category, was for a video featuring Autodesk® Smoke® software. The piece showed how the creative team at sunglass and apparel company Oakley® uses Autodesk Smoke editing and visual effects software to overcome complex challenges in producing video and multimedia presentations. The video was directed by Tom Jagger, edited by Sean Oughton and produced by William Wroblewski.

Viewstream received a second Bronze Award in the “Editing” category for a video produced for Microsoft that featured medical researchers at The Baker Laboratory at the University of Washington. The piece demonstrated the research facility’s use of Windows® Azure™ to develop new techniques to block pathogens such as the influenza virus from entering the human body. The piece was edited and directed by Tom Jagger and produced by William Wroblewski.

This year’s Telly Awards competition saw nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, placing Viewstream among the marketing agency elite. A panel of more than 500 accomplished advertising industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents.
