"My Happy Moment" winners

Patients of The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation were encouraged to enter the “My Happy Moment” photography competition, which lasted five months. It is believed that the expression of creativity supports health and provides way to enhance self-discovery, express emotions and transform life experiences into art. With the deadline on May 1st, 41 fantastic photographs were collected and entered into the competition.

Throughout the entire contest, entries were regularly showcased on The Oncology Institute’s Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest pages, allowing the viewing public to not only get a glimpse of a cancer patient’s happy moments, but also comment on and “like” their favorites.

After some contemplation and deliberation by a panel of judges, two 1st place winners and 6 runner-ups were chosen. The winners were announced and presented with $100 gift certificates by Dr. Richy Agajanian, Founder of The Oncology Institute and Hilda Agajanian, Administrator, at the Casino Night Fundraiser in Downey for The Foundation of Hope and Innovation on May 18, 2012.
