New Invention Ensures Shoppers Don’t Drop Their Cell Phone

More than half of all adults say they use their cell phone while shopping to help them with making decisions. The survey by the Pew Research Center specifically found that 38% of people used their phone to call a friend for advice while in a store and 24% used their phone to look up product reviews online while shopping.

“A cell phone allows you to shop with your friends even if they’re not with you in person,” Rozana Karle of Tampa said. “But spend any time in a mall and you’ll see people using their phones while shopping accidentally drop them reaching for something or while in line talking to a friend trying to get something out of their purse.”

To prevent those drops, Karle helped invent SnapALoop, a product that attaches to the back of mobile devises and features a loop for users to slide their finger through so the object doesn’t fall out of their hand.

SnapALoop’s ring, which is made from a soft flexible plastic also swivels 360 degrees for greater customer comfort.

“With cell phones and smart phones now costing $300, $400, $500 or more dropping one can be costly,” Karle said. “No one wants to do that and SnapALoop ensures that won’t happen.”

Sold online through the company’s website, SnapALoop is available in 4 different colors; black, blue, red and pink. For $9.95 customers get a base and three different ring sizes plus the knowledge that they can go shopping and not have to worry about dropping their phone again.

SnapALoop is manufactured entirely in the United States and has now been available for a month.
