WEA Trust has won 20% of all new business proposals this year, and with the help of our new Sales Representatives, we will continue to drive successes in Wisconsin’s competitive insurance market.

WEA Trust, a Wisconsin-based not-for-profit insurance company, has added to its sales force in response to market demands. This growth of the sales team was fueled by an expansion in the State of Wisconsin health plan, entering new markets, and school district renewals and wins.
“We’ve won over 25,000 new members with new school district, county, and municipality contracts, increased WEAMedPlus plan sales, and rapidly grown in the state health plan from 24 to 49 counties in two years since expanding our market,” said Kathryne McGowan, Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for WEA Trust. “We are pleased to add these strong professionals dedicated to the Trust difference to our sales team.”
Kurt Popp, Michael Schwitzer, and Sean Whinnery have joined the Trust as Account Executives. Each of them brings over 20 years of benefits experience to the WEA Trust team.
Kurt Popp joined the Trust in 2011, formerly serving as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Unity Health Insurance. Michael Schwitzer, was most recently a Sales Executive at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Whinnery also recently joined the Trust sales team and most recently was employed at Physicians Plus. Popp, Schwitzer, and Whinnery focus on health and dental coverage in the Public Employer Market.
Radovan Bursac has joined WEA Trust in the role of Director of Underwriting and Business Analytics. Bursac has been working with the Trust since 2010 and has now come on board full-time. He has over 20 years of experience in Health Insurance including several Vice President of Finance positions.
Denise Munger, Chuck Reinicke, and Susan Baez have also joined the WEA Trust Sales Team as Account Managers to maintain the Trust’s level of service in light of all of the new growth.
