Images of the 2012 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship conducted by the United States Golf Association will be available beginning Wednesday, June 20, on the USGA’s Photo Archive. These images, to view and download, are strictly for editorial useonly.

Once you’ve logged on, you have several different options: - See a large version of any of the photos displayed by clicking directly on the thumbnail image. - View additional caption information, by clicking on the icon directly under the image. - Download photo(s) - Select the photo(s) you wish to download by checking each box in the upper left-hand corner of the thumbnail(s). Click on the word “Download” at the top of the page.
When downloading hi-res images*, you will be given a choice as to how you would like to receive the image(s): - Zipped format: You will be directed to select a destination for the files to be downloaded and a folder will be placed there containing those images. Clicking on this folder will unzip the file and place it on your desktop or in the location where you saved it. - Raw Option: Once you begin the download, the image will appear in the window. At this point you can right click (Ctrl + click on a Mac) and save the image to your computer. All photographs contained herein are the property of the United States Golf Association and are to be used solely in conjunction with USGA news and information. They are not to be used in conjunction with non-USGA materials or for commercial purposes of any kind. Caption information can be found in the File Info field in Photoshop. All Photos must carry the copyright credit (©USGA/photographer’s name). *Please Note: The photos that we are sending to you are either high quality JPEG compressed files or TIF files in RGB color space. They should be launched in Adobe Photoshop for best quality reproduction. In attempt to provide to you the highest qualityimages, unless otherwise noted, we have only made basic color corrections and have not sharpened the images. By doing this, we are allowing you or your prepress to make the enhancements and proper amount of sharpening appropriate for your specific needs. The RGB photo files can be easily converted to CMYK or Grayscale in Adobe Photoshop if necessary.
About the USGA Photo Archive The United States Golf Association’s photo archive has one of the most comprehensive collections of golf photography in the world. The collection contains more than 500,000 images, including original black-and-white prints from the beginning of golf and photography in the United States, as well as an extensive collection of contemporary images. Each year, more than 15,000 images are added to the collection from our film library, championships and other assignments. Members of the media can apply for an account to perform online searches 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on photoarchive.usga.org.
