Suffolk Construction announced the appointment of Donald Hergenreder as Project Director for the Southeast Region. In his new role, he will be overseeing the Miami Science Museum project. He comes to Suffolk with more than 35 years of industry experience with a focus on managing unique and complex projects.
Hergenreder, until recently, was Project Director for a large national firm and was leading the state-of-the-art $696 million Medical Center project for the State of Louisiana University. He is a registered LEED AP® and brings an in-depth understanding of overall business strategies, capital budgets and long range operating costs that are important to working efficiently with facilities management. He will be the principal contact for the Miami Science Museum working alongside the museum’s owners. In his new role he will oversee all project deliverables, including the development of subcontractor bid strategies, finalization of owner contracts and coordination of work with field operations.
Don’s history includes more than five million square feet of projects including multi-hospital systems. His portfolio includes initial work on the $230 million Nemours Children’s Hospital Bed Tower Clinic, as well as several projects he has completed in South Florida, such as the Belle Glade Hospital and prior Lynn Cancer Center in Boca.
