VP Sonya L. Sigler Answers Frequently Asked Questions on Automated Review Technology for Electronic Discovery

This webinar will help lawyers and corporate counsel become comfortable with technologies that simplify document review and allow them to focus on the merits of the case.

SFL Data, the first provider of a fixed-price e-discovery managed service, will host a webinar about technology-assisted review (TAR) on Wednesday, June 27 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. PDT. Hosted by Vice President of Product Strategy and Consulting Sonya L. Sigler, “Demystifying Technology-Assisted Review: Everything You Need to Know (But Were Afraid to Ask)” will highlight the benefits of using TAR during the e-discovery process. Ms. Sigler has more than a decade of experience in the legal industry and has enabled clients to employ TAR in internal and government investigations, as well as complex criminal and class action litigations. Key points of the webinar will include:

  • An explanation of the TAR process
  • Types of TAR tools and what to expect
  • Practical tips and considerations when selecting a TAR strategy
  • SFL Data’s approach to TAR and case examples
  • Live Q&A session

“Attorneys are hesitant to cross over to TAR methods for a number of reasons. However, when used correctly, automated review can become an integral part of e-discovery that results in lower overall cost and faster deployment and case conclusion,” said Ms. Sigler. “This webinar will help lawyers and corporate counsel become comfortable with technologies that simplify document review and allow them to focus on the merits of the case.”

Ms. Sigler is a frequent writer and speaker on advanced search and retrieval techniques, electronic discovery issues, meet and confer techniques and more. Most recently, her article in The National Law Journal covered TAR adoption as it applies to modern e-discovery strategy. She is also a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, the American Bar Association, and The Sedona Conference Working Group 1 on Electronic Document Retention and Production.

The webinar will provide MCLE accreditation from the State Bar of California. During the event, attendees may follow the conversation on SFL Data’s Twitter feed using the hashtag #TAR. Guests may register here to attend.
