Final Week of Preparation for the wInsight Integrated Group Conference

WIGCON provides valuable information regarding Earned Value Managment (EVM) trends and Deltek wInsight for Project Controls Managers

Final preparations are under way for the wInsight Integrated Group Conference (WIGCON), co-hosted by the wInsight Integrated Group (WIG) and KM Systems Group (KMSG). The conference incorporates presentations, one-on-one sessions with field experts, and town hall discussions, inviting participation from all attendees. The conference is being held on June 28th, 2012 in Washington DC at the Washington City Club, and is designed to enhance Department of Defense, Federal Agency, and Government Contractor project performance using Deltek wInsight for Earned Value Management (EVM).

“KMSG is excited to support this conference,” said Dave Scott, Managing Director of KM Systems Group. “EVM continues to be the federal government’s most important tool to measure project performance and ensure the return on taxpayer’s dollars is optimized, while enabling the Agency or Department of Defense mission. wInsight is an EVM analysis tool which is widely used within this community to provide an ‘early warning’ system for project performance issues while there is still time for corrective actions.”

The conference is hosting many notable speakers, including keynote presentations by government thought leaders:

• Dr. Robert Rovinsky, Director of IT Enterprise Services in the Office of the Chief Information Officer, Federal Aviation Administration. Mr. Rovinsky will present on how to implement effective program management utilizing EVM.
• Mr. Gordon Kranz, Deputy Director for Earned Value Management Performance Assessments and Root Cause Analyses in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Acquisition. Mr. Kranz will be talking about the Department of Defense new Integrated Program Management Reporting (IPMR) requirements.

WIGCON also provides an opportunity for the wInsight community to hear from Deltek about new releases of the software, as well as provide input regarding their requirements. “EVM requirements are always changing,” said Tim Gaughan, wInsight Integrated Group Chair. “This conference provides an opportunity to network and share experiences as well as to ensure the software developer, government customer, and wInsight users are on the same page in terms of requirements.”

New to the agenda this year, are 1-on-1 Sessions with the experts. Drew Hoffman, KM Systems Group, and Ron Veronese, Prime PM, will meet with attendees during 30 minute sessions to answer a variety of questions. There are no limits to what an attendee may ask, but we are fully confident in our experts’ industry and wInsight knowledge.
