Ashburn, VA (PRWEB) June 21, 2012
Intelligent Decisions (ID), Inc., a recognized leader in federal IT solutions, announced today that it has been awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) worth nearly $32 million in support of the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) National Information Technology Commodity Program (NITCP), contract number GS-26F-AA002. Under the contract, ID will provide computer tablets and accessories.
The GSA’s Integrated Technology Services launched the NITCP with a mission of procuring IT commodities and additional services for federal, state and local governments using innovative solutions. The goal is to provide the government with a fast and effective way to order IT commodities at sharply discounted prices with prompt, cost-effective delivery and effective customer service.
“The General Services Administration is focused on providing government organizations with qualified IT industry partners, competitive contracts, and lower prices,” said Harry Martin, president and CEO of Intelligent Decisions. “This NITCP BPA awarded to Intelligent Decisions is representative of GSA’s commitment to excellence in procuring and delivering products and services that exceed the expectations of professionals in the federal marketplace.”
BPAs allow for a streamlined approach to procurements by offering a pre-negotiated, awarded contract that offers federal agencies and GSA Schedule contracts convenience, efficiency, and reduced costs. Therefore, as a purchasing option, BPAs eliminate these contracting and open market costs as the search for sources, the need to prepare solicitations, and the requirement to synopsize the acquisition are eliminated.
GSA Schedules simplify the filling of recurring needs for supplies and services, while leveraging ordering activities’ buying power by taking advantage of quantity discounts, saving administrative time, and reducing paperwork.
