Interested in visiting a historic French colonial hotel in Hanoi? Staying in a historic castle in France? Or visiting the wine country of Sonoma, California? The professional travel writers posting lodging reviews each weekday at Hotel-Scoop.com are fanning out across the globe right now to bring readers detailed reviews of interesting places to stay on vacation.

Contributor Nancy Brown is one of three writers heading to France, in her case to Toulouse. "This will be my first time to sleep in a windmill and a castle," notes Brown. "But an overnight in Condom is sure to entertain--I can hear the jokes coming."

Carolyn Heller, author of the new Moon Handbooks guide to Ontario, will be one of several writers reporting from Canada, which will collectively lead to reviews on Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and Ontario.

Hotel Scoop writers based in the United States will be busy checking out hotels, inns, and resorts for domestic readers, with stays in Nevada, California, Idaho, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Indiana, Kentucky, and Florida.

Editor Tim Leffel will be covering hotels he just visited in Eastern Europe and upcoming trips will take in notable places to stay in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Colombia. Contributor Buzzy Gordon will also be reporting from Thailand, with two months in Bangkok and Phuket.

Writers will be in New Zealand and Australia to provide some southern hemisphere weather to the mix and other reviews will be from spots as diverse as Israel and Denmark.

"Without a limiting booking service contract in place we can literally cover the whole world," says editor Leffel. "We have some of the most experienced and widely traveled writers covering hotels and resorts for us, so if there's a spot on the globe with a unique and interesting place to stay, we hope to get to it eventually."
