Online Gourmet Gift Company Lady Fortunes Announces their First Annual "Cookies For Our Troops" Day at their Canoga Park, CA Cookie Factory. Over 27 employees and family members will be donating their time to bake, dip and decorate patriotic Sugar Cookies to be donated to several organizations benefiting the military- troops and families.
Lady Fortunes will be donating their gourmet custom patriotic cookie packages to Operation Gratitude, a non profit organization that "seeks to lift morale and put smiles on faces by sending care packages addressed to individual Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines deployed in harm’s way, to their children left behind, and to Wounded Warriors recuperating in Transition Units". Lady Fortunes Gourmet Cookies will be included in special patriotic care packages along with other items and all wrapped with good wishes of love and support.
The company will also be donating to a local chapter of Operation Home Front- an organization that helps show support to military families and children in particular. July 12 they will be hosting their Back To School Brigade program, serving over 3,300 children of our military servicemen and women throughout Southern California at 10 locations. Lady Fortunes Gourmet Cookies will be distributed to the children to help make their day sweeter and to show support and gratitude to them and their families for the great sacrifice they make in having family members deployed for extended periods of time.
Lady Fortunes will be closing shop early on Friday June 29th in order to mobilize employee volunteers who will be baking, dipping, decorating and bagging gourmet patriotic cookies. The cookies will be delicious gourmet sugar cookies, baked fresh from scratch and drizzled with gourmet toppings and decorated with patriotic red white and blue sprinkles. The cookies will be packaged in clear cello bags, heat sealed for freshness and quality and tied with red white and blue ribbons. Over 27 company employees have committed their time to being involved in this good cause and are planning to bring in family members and friends to join in and help create these special goodies.
"We are thrilled to be organizing this special day to help show our support of our military" says Daria Artem, CEO and Founder of Lady Fortunes, "We are proud to help these charities in their efforts to do so much for our brave troops and their families."
