November Research Group, a global leader in drug and medical device safety consulting and software solutions for pharmaceutical and life sciences organizations, announces the availability of WebReports for Oracle Argus Safety. WebReports for Oracle Argus Safety provides a quick and easy way to create Word, Excel, PDF and HTML output from Oracle Argus Safety data. Designed to complement and extend the native reporting features of Oracle Argus Safety, WebReports includes a powerful Ad Hoc Line Listing, a Data Mining Report and a growing suite of additional reports.

The original WebReports was designed to complement and extend the functionality of Oracle’s AERS application. WebReports for Oracle Argus Safety extends this tremendous value to Oracle’s Argus Safety customers. The WebReports Ad Hoc Line Listing allows users to select from hundreds of the most important pharmacovigilance and compliance-related fields in Oracle Argus Safety using a truly modern drag-and-drop interface. The list of selected fields and their attributes can be saved, reused and shared to support the generation of frequently requested data presentations. The output can be dynamically sorted, filtered and analyzed to fine tune the data before rendering the final output into many familiar formats such as Word, Excel, PDF and HTML.

The WebReports Data Mining Report calculates key reporting ratios for a user-selected product such as the Proportional Reporting Ratio (PRR), the Reporting Odds Ratio (ROR) and the Observed/ Expected Ratio (OER). Statistical association is calculated using a chi-square test on one degree of freedom with Yates’s correction. Thresholds may be set dynamically to easily highlight potential signals.

Designed to be easy-to-use and readily accessible to all safety professionals, the WebReports are available from directly within Oracle Argus Safety, and the user interface utilizes dynamic web components for a rich, cross-browser user experience with no specialized training required. WebReports utilize native browser-based rendering features within the Oracle database, deployed through the Oracle’s standard middleware technology, so no additional software is required. WebReports can be implemented and validated in as few as two days since the software includes a comprehensive User Guide, an Installation Qualification and a Validation Kit complete with step-by-step test scripts.
