Dallas, TX (PRWEB) June 22, 2012

Engine Swimwear is entering the United States competitive swimwear market as the 2012 Swimming Olympic Trials kick off in Omaha, Nebraska, June 25th. Engine is an Australian based company, which has been designing and manufacturing professional-grade swim gear since 2004. Engine has teamed with video ecommerce provider, Cinsay, to launch their product line and provide daily video updates from the 2012 U.S. Olympic swim trials.

“We are very excited to partner with Cinsay on our U.S. launch. Engine has an excellent line of performance swim products and Cinsay’s technology allows us to showcase them in a compelling and engaging way”, said, Roque Santos, Director of Engine USA. “While viewers can see our product line, they’ll also be able to watch daily updates from the Olympic swim trials as well as purchase select Engine gear; all directly inside the video player”, Santos added.

“Cinsay is the perfect match for Engine. The moment they launch and feature their products inside Cinsay’s Smart Store, people can purchase swim gear right inside the video platform and have it shipped the next day. They can also share the video updates with their friends on Facebook and twitter. That’s a selling advantage any company wants”, said Sean Killion, Director of Sales & Distribution for Cinsay.

A Team Passionate About Swimming

Killion and Santos’ collaboration of Olympian Sports with cutting-edge technology was not by accident. Both met while at the University of California at Berkeley where they were swim team captains and went on to earn spots on the 1992 US Olympic Swim Team that competed in Barcelona, Spain. “This was the perfect opportunity to work together in our new careers and fast growing companies”, said Santos. Additionally, another previous Olympic swimmer, who is also the Managing Director/CEO for Engine, Toby Haenen, won the bronze in the 400-meter relay during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. “We all have a passion for swimming and technology you could say”, added Killion.

The swimming trials begin Monday, June 25th and run throughout the week. Over 1,800 swimmers will compete for a chance to be on the official U.S. Olympic Swim Team and Engine will be posting exclusive video updates twice daily featuring news and athlete interviews. SwimSwam will be producing and creating the video content on behalf of Engine. Viewers will also be able to peruse select gear featuring Engine’s Wingskin Armour line for men and women as well as goggles, swim caps, and branded apparel.
