Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 23, 2012
Sweet Sweat, the revolutionary topical thermogenic workout enhancer created for athletes and fitness enthusiasts, supports Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight Ramsey Nijem, welterweight Brock Jardine, and featherweight Steven Siler as they take on their respective opponents in the preliminary card of UFC on FX: Maynard vs. Guida on June 22. The prelims will start 6PM EST/3PM PST and will be aired on Fuel TV and Fox Deportes. The main card, which features lightweight stars Gray Maynard and Clay Guida, will be aired on FX and Fox Deportes.
“Ramsey, Brock, and Steven are all in important fights on Friday. Ramsey hasn’t fought since October of last year because he was forced off UFC 141 with an injury. He’s raring to go back inside the octagon and deliver a good performance. Brock is making his UFC debut against a tough opponent and wants to leave a good impression. Steven is seeking to win his third straight UFC bout. With Sweet Sweat powering their training and helping them during the weight cut, we expect all three to be at their best come fight night,” said Sweet Sweat vice-president for sales and marketing Jeff Pedersen, Jr.
Nijem (5-2) is best known for reaching the finals of the Ultimate Fighter 13 as a member of current UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos’ team. He faces undefeated UFC newcomer C.J. Keith (8-0) and plans to deal the latter his first professional loss. Jardine (9-1) is an exciting prospect with power in his hands and a solid ground game. He goes for his fourth straight win in his first UFC bout against dangerous welterweight contender Rick Story (13-5). Siler (20-9), a submission specialist, was part of Jason Miller’s team in the Ultimate Fighter 14. The mixed martial arts veteran takes on undefeated UFC newcomer Joey Gambino (9-0).
Team Sweet Sweat caps an eventful month by participating in the 2012 GNC Franchise Expo, which will be held in National Harbor, Maryland from June 24 to 26. “It will be business as usual for Team Sweet Sweat after the fight. GNC is the top global retailer of health and wellness products and the expo is definitely a great opportunity for us to showcase our brand,” said Pedersen.
