For 2 months now we have been hearing all the buzz building around Stunt Buxx, an online contest site, billing themselves as the 1st ever Viral Video Game Show.
Their viral video game show website shows only 8 days until they launch this innovative game show concept onto the world, first going viral in Vancouver, B.C. Canada and away from there, planning on launching in 10 regions in Canada and the U.S. by the end of the year.
Very little had been revealed up until June 22nd at 12:00pm (PST) when they aired their first webisode, which is more of a demonstration on how the game show works, with features Mitch Berger – the most decorated Canadian to every play in the NFL, Superbowl Champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers in '09 and the only kicker ever to be named to the All-Madden team and his co-host Alyssa Dawson along with Stunt Buxx girl, and Lingerie Football League Player Saundra Harper.
Mitch was interviewed on Urban Rush T.V. recently, and he was very enthusiastic about hosting the show.
'It's all about instant gratification.' Says Berger. 'Anyone with a mobile device can come onto the site, play right from home, take part in our challenges, and have a serious chance to win cash the very same day.'
Executive Producer and Co-Founder Ryan Bennett says that 'Stunt Buxx is a way for advertisers to combine publicity with merchandising, in a fun contemporary way which has never been done before.'
'Who doesn't love a good game show? It was important to have the right platform to combine viral videos, publicity, and merchandising. And the game show concept works within that model. Game Shows come with contestants, prizes, and sponsors who put up those prizes. It just makes sense.'
Early buzz is referring to this online video contest site as You Tube meets Groupon, but Bennett insists that Stunt Buxx is very different.
'We want to add value to brands. We want people to share our contestants videos and in exchange receive the coolest, smoking, one of a kind, in your face, must have deals you and your buds won't get anywhere else.'
As one of their 1st publicity stunts on Urban Rush, Mitch Berger dressed Michael Eckford up in a Stunt Buxx football jersey, jock strap including a cup, and similar to a stunt recently run on Amercia's Got Talent, prepared Michael to take a square kick in the NARDS.
Bennett insists 'We are less Jack Ass, and more a way for advertisers to interact and engage with their audience, but it was a hoot none the less.'
The first webisode, which they call 'Nothing But Can' is a take off on the old Michael Jordan/Larry Bird commercial 'Nothing But Net' which you can find on the viral video game shows website or on their You Tube Channel at http://www.youtube.com/stuntbuxx
