Chicago’s Revival Fitness Personal Training Launches the Redefine Yourself Challenge

Michael Moody commits to combat the staggering numbers of adolescent obesity and diabetes.

Revival Fitness Personal Training launched its first ever Redefine Yourself Challenge on June 18, 2012. The percentage of overweight children and adolescents in the US has nearly tripled since the early 1970s. More than one in five children between the ages of 6 and 17 are now considered overweight. These staggering statistics has compelled owner and top personal trainer, Michael Moody to passionately dedicate in helping overweight adolescents lose weight, maintain a healthier lifestyle and gain proper nutrition the right way. The Redefine Yourself Challenge is just the beginning!

About the Redefine Yourself Challenge:
Interested contestants eager to transform must enter by submitting a two-minute video via the Revival Fitness Facebook page at, beginning June 18th and ending July 15th. Revival wants know why they desire to ‘redefine themselves” and their thoughts on how to achieve that goal. To qualify, contestants must be residents of Cook County and between the ages of 12-18 only. Public voting on Facebook is July 16th through August 8th. Contestants are highly encouraged to get family and friends to vote for them! Five finalists will be chosen from the top voted videos. Michael and his team of judges will choose the winner and the runner-ups from the top five. The final judging period will take place from August 8th through 12th. Winner will be announced at Purple Asparagus’ Annual Corks and Crayons Fundraiser August 13th.Winner will receive one year of free personal training and nutritional guidance, a complimentary makeover by Robert Jeffrey Hair Salon, a Whole Foods in-store shopping lesson, expert nutritional guidance, a gift certificate to Karyn’s Cooked, and the book In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan. The runner-ups will receive two weeks of free personal training, a nutritional consultation with a guide, and a copy of In Defense of Food.
