Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from a diverse array of classroom presentations and Energy Camps. The Energy Camps are an in-depth hands-on look at a particular sustainable energy topic. The Energy Camps for 2012 will include Microhydro hosted by Phillip Hofmeyer, in which attendees will be learning and exploring firsthand how Microhydro works and is implemented in a nearby stream. Other Energy Camps include Solar PV, Wind, Energy Efficiency, Intro to Sustainability, Energy Policy, and How to start a local Green Energy Club.

The William Kamkwamba Dinner will include an inspirational dinner speech by this TED Presenter and New York Times Best Selling author of “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind”.

The theme of Energypath 2012 is America’s Sustainable Energy Future. The conference will give an all-encompassing look at the technologies of the future, along with the potential for development of policies and already existing renewables. The goal is to paint a portrait for the attendees of the current condition of sustainable energy on the local, state and national level. About the Energypath 2012 Conference
Over the last six years the week long Energypath conference and pre-conference energy camps have grown from one person attending a solar training workshop in Colorado to more than 400 annual attendees. Originally known as Solar Scholars™ and the Sustainable Energy Conference the program focused on providing training for professors on solar photovoltaic installation.

In 2009 the conference opened to the public, added an exposition and began providing scholarships to dislocated workers, middle school and high school teachers in addition to the scholarships that are provided to colleges and universities. To date Sustainable Energy Fund has provided more than one million dollars in scholarships and equipment grants to educational institutions.

Since origination the Energypath has hosted more than 100 leading industry and policy experts such as Vera Cole, PhD author of the PA Solar Handbook, Mick Sagrillo author of Power From the Wind, Dr. Andrew Cole, Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, Public Utility Chairman James Cawley, Federal Energy Regulatory Commissioner Nora Mead Brownell, Congressman Joe Sestak, Secretary of Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection John Hangar and many more.
