The National Security Training Institute (NSTi), held its first ever Seminar Series and Open House this past Wednesday, June 20, 2012. The event allowed the greater industrial security professional community the ability to have a taste of what NSTi can bring to the table.
“I believe this event helped us further our place among the industrial security professionals. It not only allows clients to learn what we offer but allows us to learn ways to constantly improve and evolve our programs. The day was a truly innovative exchange of information and networking.” stated Deedee Collins, Executive Director of NSTi.
Topics featured at the Seminar Series were Cybersecurity, a DSS Topic, Security Awareness Training Education (SATE), Workplace Violence, and Insider Threat. NSTi is looking forward to hosting formal classes on these topics in the future to give back and enhance the entire security community.
The open house immediately following the Seminar allowed for a look into the upgraded training facilities that NSTi has to offer. It also allowed for more one on one network opportunities with the NSTi staff.
Attendees noted that it was well worth their time. One attendee stated, “The possibilities that NSTi has to offer the industrial security professional is unparalleled. I would highly recommend NSTi to any company in need of security training.” Another attendee stated, “The overall commitment to excellence, and superior and engaging training seminars offered by the NSTi staff is truly innovating, refreshing and informative.” Another attendee stated, “The information learned here today can be incorporated immediately on the job.”
