AnatomyOne, Amirsys’ latest online medical education resource, exhibits a comprehensive anatomy resource for medical students and faculty at the IAMSE meeting in Portland, Oregon. At the annual meeting of the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE), faculty, staff and students from around the world who are interested in medical science education join together to discuss curriculum development, teaching techniques, and assessment methods.
AnatomyOne places powerful education tools in the hands of teaching faculty, providing them with the flexible resources they need to accommodate an evolving curriculum. AnatomyOne’s Course Outline builder allows teaching faculty to select from over 700 AnatomyOne modules, thousands of images, and dissection guide modules to create the course outline that best fits the needs of their programs. Text resources include regional, systemic, and clinical perspectives, with introductions to histology and embryology.
Educators can also use the Custom Atlas tools to hand-pick and save collections of images students should study. AnatomyOne images include illustrations, prosection photographs, radiology images, and histology images. Faculty can download custom atlases as PowerPoint presentations for use during lecture time or send a link to students to study the images on their own.
In addition, AnatomyOne provides assessment questions for each regional and systemic module. Students can customize assessments and track their progress over time, so they can arrive prepared for lectures, labs, and exams.
AnatomyOne will launch at the end of June after a four-week Beta test that includes nearly 600 participants. To learn more about AnatomyOne, visit http://www.anatomyone.com or follow AnatomyOne on http://www.facebook.com/anatomyone.
