Blueprint™, the market leading requirements software provider, today announced its Adapter for Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), that adds powerful requirements authoring, validation and collaboration capabilities to Microsoft TFS, providing enterprise IT groups a seamless application lifecycle management solution. Designed for complex software application projects such as legacy application modernizations, regulatory compliance overhauls, and the introduction of new more social and mobile enterprise applications, Blueprint’s rich definition capabilities let teams collaboratively “experience” software requirements in an interactive, visual walkthrough. This allows enterprise IT development teams to expose issues early while also later providing QA professionals unprecedented access to current, complete visual requirements and automatically generated tests.
“Integrating Blueprint with Microsoft Team Foundation Server provides enterprise development teams a seamless ALM solution that includes compelling, collaborative requirements authoring and validation capabilities,” said Tom Lindeman, director of the Visual Studio Industry Partner program at Microsoft. “Together, these tools help eliminate the delays and wasted effort caused by requirements miscommunications and errors, enabling groups to deploy complex projects faster and with greater assurance of addressing all their customers’ needs.”
Blueprint empowers requirements authors to collaboratively define all requirements including business processes and domain diagrams, use cases, use case diagrams, user interface mockups, storyboards, generic diagrams, textual lists, actors, glossaries, and attachments all with complete and detailed traceability. In addition Blueprint automatically generates 100% of the functional test scenarios with complete traceability to requirements assets.
The Adapter allows all the requirements information defined using Blueprint, along with automatically generated tests and complete traceability, to be automatically populated into a user-defined location in Microsoft TFS. Complete flexibility in how fields from Blueprint are mapped to Microsoft TFS means information appears in Microsoft TFS in the exact form needed.
