SALT LAKE CITY and IRVINE, CA (PRWEB) June 25, 2012
Throughout the month of July, Mimi’s Cafe restaurants will be lifting spirits and hope as part of its “Mimi’s for Miracles” campaign. Guests will have the opportunity to lend support by donating $1 to display a Miracle Balloon paper icon. With a $5 donation, guests receive a balloon lapel pin with all proceeds benefitting hospitals in communities where Mimi’s® operates. As a token of thanks, Mimi’s is providing up to $30 in savings for those making donations.
To celebrate the first week of fundraising, Mimi’s is inviting guests to stop in on Friday, July 6 for Mimi’s Muffins for Miracles Day. Guests can enjoy a FREE Strawberry Shortcake muffin, Mimi’s newest creation, with a donation and any purchase. Kids can also take part in helping kids by coloring a special coloring sheet and sending an inspirational message. “Mimi’s Cafe demonstrates its commitment to children’s health and wellness through their Mimi’s Cares initiative, and we’re thrilled they have partnered with us to bring further hope and healing to millions of children and families,” said John Lauck, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals president and CEO. “By choosing to give a dollar or more at any Mimi’s location this July, guests will be making a donation that 100-percent benefits the nearest CMN Hospital.”
“If there’s one thing our employees and guests enjoy more than great food, it’s giving back to their communities,” added Mark Mears, president and chief concept officer of Mimi’s Cafe. “We’re thrilled to partner with a charity that places such an emphasis on local impact, and what’s more impactful than helping a sick or injured child get better? Through our ‘Mimi’s for Miracles’ campaign, we are committed to supporting local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals – lifting spirits one balloon at a time.”
Like all Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraisers, the funds raised from this Mimi’s Cares campaign will help create miracles by funding medical care, research and education that saves and improves the lives of 17 million children treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year.
