From Thursday 21 June, a selection of events filmed at Sydney Opera House during the recent Vivid LIVE festival, including the full concert of The Temper Trap debuting their new album in the Concert Hall and URBANSCREEN’s Lighting the Sails, will be replayed on the Vivid LIVE YouTube channel. During Vivid LIVE, Sydney Opera House, in conjunction with Google, launched FRONTROW a custom camera application - the first gadget of its kind - that allowed viewers of the live stream to control their view, take photos, apply lens filters and share instantly on social networks. This function will also be available on the channel.
The Vivid LIVE YouTube channel allowed audiences across the globe to connect with Sydney’s winter music festival, with over 1.2 million views of exclusive online content, including over 900,000 playbacks (63,000 viewing hours in total) of the four events live streamed on YouTube.
Events that were live streamed included The Temper Trap launching their new album in the Concert Hall; German digital collective URBANSCREEN’s 3D digital projections on the iconic sails; Imogen Heap’s exclusive performance in the Northern Foyer overlooking Sydney Harbour and Brazilian Amon Tobin’s audiovisual spectacle, Live Beyond 3D: ISAM.
