Entigral Systems is pleased to announce that Scott Albert, Founder and Venture Partner at The Aurora Funds, Inc., in Durham, North Carolina, has joined the Board of Entigral Systems. Mr. Albert is joining Entigral’s Board to provide assistance on strategic planning, business development, financial oversight and fund raising. He has an extensive background in working with early stage companies, having led or co-led the investment in scores of companies nationwide in his career.

In 1994 Mr. Albert co-founded The Aurora Funds, Inc., an early-stage venture capital firm in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. He is currently a Venture Partner at Aurora with portfolio responsibility for most of Aurora’s Information Technology companies, and sits on the boards of StrikeIron, Inc., a data-as-a-service company in Research Triangle Park, and Unitrends, Inc., an enterprise-level data protection solutions company in Columbia, South Carolina. Mr. Albert has nearly thirty years of venture capital and operating experience, having been a fixture in the venture industry since 1983, and having served almost two-and-one-half years as CEO of Centice Corporation, an Aurora portfolio company.
Prior to founding Aurora, Mr. Albert was a General Partner at Criterion Venture Partners in Houston Texas; and an Associate at Golder, Thoma Cressey in Chicago; and an Associate at Booz, Allen and Hamilton in Chicago and New York. Mr. Albert holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
