UW Health Partners Watertown Regional Medical Center (WRMC) is reaching out to the growing number of smartphone users through iTriage®, a consumer healthcare mobile app that allows patients to quickly and easily find nearby facilities and check in for an emergency or urgent care visit at WRMC prior to their arrival. It also provides useful health information.
The iTriage app lets patients that have an immediate medical need in the Watertown and surrounding communities instantly connect with WRMC. The free iTriage app allows users to find hospital and urgent care details like services provided, specialties and directions, in addition to check-in prior to their visit, alerting staff of their impending arrival.
“Consumers increasingly expect more control and convenience when accessing healthcare services, and WRMC is an early innovator with its adoption of the Early Check-In feature,” said Director of Emergency Services Mary Kay Diderrich. “Providing these tools puts consumers in the driver’s seat by giving them actionable information, including facility mapping, so they can easily obtain treatment.”
iTriage also gives users information about symptoms, diseases and medical conditions, procedures and medications.
“WRMC is committed to providing the latest resources and technology to the community when they have an immediate medical need,” said Diderrich. “Launching the Early Check-In feature with iTriage offers a convenience to our patients and allows our staff to welcome them as an expected guest.”
iTriage is available as a free download from app stores for iPhone® and Android™ mobile devices and is accessible from any Internet-enabled device at http://www.iTriageHealth.com.
