New York, NY (PRWEB) June 28, 2012
New York Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy (NYSM) is pleased to announce Christopher Allison as the newest addition to their team. Christopher joins NYSM as a physician’s assistant and will be based out of the Union Square office.
It was while volunteering at the University of North Carolina Medical Center that Chris developed a desire to work in the medical community. This interest later led him to switch gears and obtain a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. According to CEO, Adam Banks, “Christopher is an excellent addition to our team not only because of his extensive education and training but because of the compassion he has for his patients.”
A graduate of New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Christopher brings to his work a scientific aptitude, a fervent interest in sports medicine and a passion for athletics. Throughout high school and during part of his time in college, he was an active member of the football and track teams. “I am excited to be joining NY SportsMed. They have a great reputation in the field of sports medicine and I am looking forward to being a part of such a respected team of professionals,” explained Chris.
Christopher comes to NY SportsMed having worked at Maimonides Medical Center as an Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant. He is currently employed at New York University's Institute of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Bellevue Medical Center as a Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery Physician Assistant. He is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Institute of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.
