During the 2012 Summer X Games, Henkel Corporation and its Loctite® brand adhesives and sealants will sponsor two extreme athletes and help to keep their equipment in top- performance shape throughout the grueling games. The Team Loctite® roster includes American freestyle motocross and off-road racers Carey Hart and Jeremy "Twitch" Stenberg.

Henkel-sponsored motocross racer Carey Hart will compete in the Speed and Style event in search of gold. Hart has competed at the X Games since 1999 and made it to the bronze medal round at the 2011 Summer X Games. Ten-time X Games medalist Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg returns to his two-wheel roots at Summer X Games 2012, competing in the Best Whip and Speed and Style events.

The vehicles that belong to Team Loctite® racers take a beating during the competition. Loctite® adhesives and sealants — products that have enhanced motor vehicle performance for more than 50 years — help keep the bikes in reliable racing form throughout the games.

“Our Summer X athletes push their equipment to the limits under harsh conditions,” explains Mike Shannahan, Henkel’s director of marketing for the North American general industry business. “Known around the world for its extreme performance, Loctite® is the perfect sponsor for Summer X racers. Our adhesives, sealants and lubricants help keep the athletes’ equipment in top shape and allow it to resist the most powerful forces of man and nature.”
