Ludwigsburg/Belcamp (USA) (PRWEB) June 29, 2012

CenterTools, a German security company specializing in endpoint security solutions, has entered into a new licensing agreement with SafeNet, a global leader in data protection, that enables CenterTools to develop, support and sell products based on SafeNet’s ProtectDrive hard-disc encryption and ProtectFile endpoint encryption solutions for files.

Initially, CenterTools will focus on integrating ProtectDrive, hard-disc encryption, and ProtectFile, transparent endpoint encryption for files, folder and documents, into its flagship DriveLock endpoint encryption solution.

Companies are increasingly looking to protect access to the varied endpoints of their corporate or confidential data – especially in the modern world of virtual machines, mobile devices and laptops – but without impacting user productivity, as well as the files, folders and documents themselves.

"This is an enormous advantage for us and most of all for our customers", said Udo Riedel, CTO of CenterTools, enthusiastically, "because we can now respond to the wishes and needs of customers even better and faster."

The enhancement of the new products is currently taking place in Germany - just like all other DriveLock components. "The upshot of this is further strategic development potential for our product portfolio", said Mark Hartmann, Vice President of Product Management at CenterTools. What is more: "Soon customers will want even more specific options to protect data securely, elegantly and smoothly. We are quite far ahead in that direction."

Both sides have ensured confidentiality concerning the terms of the agreement. Products based on ProtectDrive and ProtectFile endpoint will soon be offered and sold as both a separate product and as a supplement integrated into DriveLock.
