Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) June 28, 2012
Milwaukee Office of Sunbelt Midwest, the place to go to buy or sell a business, is pleased to announce the sale of TDH Manufacturing, Inc. The Company was acquired by Bernie Dahlin, President of Shapes Unlimited, Inc. Mr. Dahlin originally inquired about the business through an advertisement on Bizquest.com only a few days after going to market. Sunbelt Midwest works companies to develop business exit strategies. The exit strategy for Tom Hinkle, President of TDH Manufacturing, Inc. was initiated by Sunbelt in 2003 and continued over the years as Mr. Hinkle developed his personal plan for retirement. Sunbelt Midwest was an advisor every step of the way for Mr. Hinkle ultimately listing his business for sale in late 2011.
TDH Manufacturing, Inc. spawned an enormous interest from over 100 buyer prospects and ultimately sold to Mr. Dahlin after just 6 months on the market. The Acquision is a natural fit for Shapes Unlimited, Inc. who has been in business since 1967 manufacturing custom fabrication of trade show displays, furniture pieces, point of purchase displays among many other custom products. Since 1984, TDH Manufacturing, Inc. has also manufactured quality wood products such as point of purchase displays, countertop displays, fixtures, kiosks along with a substantial number of other wood products.
“The product synergy between the two companies couldn’t have been more aligned,” said Mark Kuether “Mr. Dahlin and his company Shapes Unlimited, Inc. was a perfect fit for this acquisition opportunity. Although, I represented the seller in this transaction I worked intently with both parties to realize a favorable outcome and meet the expectations on both sides.”
The Wood Product Manufacturing industry according to BLS.gov, manufactures wood products, such as lumber, plywood, veneers, wood containers, wood flooring, wood trusses, manufactured homes (i.e., mobile homes), and prefabricated wood buildings.
The production processes of the Wood Product Manufacturing subsector include sawing, planing, shaping, laminating, and assembling of wood products starting from logs that are cut into bolts, or lumber that then may be further cut, or shaped by lathes or other shaping tools. The lumber or other transformed wood shapes may also be subsequently planed or smoothed, and assembled into finished products, such as wood containers. The Wood Product Manufacturing subsector includes establishments that make wood products from logs and bolts that are sawed and shaped, and establishments that purchase sawed lumber and make wood products. BLS.gov gives a favorable outlook for this sector predicting a 25.5% employment increase for woodworking occupations from 2010-2020.
