Informz, Inc., a leading email service provider for the association and nonprofit industry, announced today that their client Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association (SBCA), won a Gold Ribbon at WhichTestWon’s 2012 Email Test Awards.
Using the mobile reporting feature in their Informz email marketing account, the SBCA team discovered that 25% of their members read their emails on a mobile device. SBCA then enlisted the help of the Informz Strategy Team to develop an email marketing strategy to improve engagement with their mobile audience. One of the initial components of the plan included a test to the wording of the email’s pre-header text, the area above the header image at the top of the email, to engage mobile readers. The original text read, “Problems viewing this email? Click here for our online version.” In the test version they changed the word “online” to “mobile” which resulted in an impressive 173% increase in clicks to the pre-header.
“Informz offers powerful reporting features that allow clients to gain valuable insight into the behavior of their subscribers beyond just opens, clicks and forwards,” said Joe Tyler, CEO at Informz. “SBCA is a great example of how organizations can use our advanced reporting capabilities to make informed decisions about their email marketing campaigns to achieve better results and a stronger return.”
SBCA also won Honorable Mention for the B2B Newsletter Test after making changes to their enewsletter to make it mobile friendly including shifting the content down, including a table of contents and increasing the space between links. For more information, visit http://www.informz.com/blog.
