Advocate Health Care is pleased to announce the appointment of Dominica Tallarico as president, Advocate Condell Medical Center, effective July 30, 2012.
Tallarico brings nearly 20 years of experience as a healthcare leader to her new role. Most recently, she served as chief operating officer at Advocate Christ Medical Center and Hope Children’s Hospital. Under her leadership, the medical center developed a robust ambulatory network, including the centers for breast health, sleep disorders, cardiac rehabilitation and outpatient therapy. She also successfully led the development of the hospital’s nationally ranked heart transplant program as well as its kidney transplant program, and clinical institutes for heart and vascular services, neurosciences, cancer, and bone and joint.

Her depth of expertise in clinical operations, physician relations, managed care negotiations and strategic business planning provides a great foundation for her leadership role at Condell Medical Center.”
Prior to her role as COO, Tallarico served as vice president of ambulatory services at Christ Medical Center. She began her career in health care in 1993 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill., where she held several key leadership roles, including associate vice president of business development and physician services, and director of managed care contracting.
Tallarico earned her Master of Science degree in health systems management from Rush University, Chicago. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene from Loyola University, Chicago. Tallarico is a member of the American College of Health Executives (ACHE). She also serves as an internship preceptor at the University of Illinois, School of Public Health.
