Owners of Relish Inc. sisters, Jennifer and Terri Reed and Santa Cruz Sea Glass owner Krista Hammond formed an immediate friendship and bond based on their mutual love for sea glass. The two met for the first time at the 2007 North American Sea Glass Festival, held in Krista's home town of Santa Cruz.

"I immediately liked them both. They are very talented and just genuinely good people and I am honored to have joined forces with Relish to put on a fantastic festival in their home town of Erie, PA," says Krista.

Jennifer and Terri are sisters who grew up steps away from the Lake Erie shore. Having majored in metalsmithing and art in college, they were able to create a business combining their skills, talents and love for beach glass. In 1996, they started Relish, Inc., a home-based jewelry design studio, which quickly expanded to their current 3000 square foot retail space in 2001. Both having been past Board Members for the North American Sea Glass Association, they wanted to create a local show that celebrates sea glass, art and local conservation.

The idea behind creating the Lake Erie Beach Glass & Ocean Art Festival stems from Krista's success at starting the Santa Cruz Sea Glass & Ocean Art Festival in 2009, held every November at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. Krista desire to create high quality, handmade jewelry using only recycled and reclaimed materials, opened Santa Cruz Sea Glass in 2006. As a long time ocean lover, Krista wanted her business to support the ocean and as such became an official partner of the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation in 2008. The festival is a way to raise awareness and donations for the local Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. The show has been a great success, in its 4th year the festival has raised thousands towards ocean conservation.

The Lake Erie Beach Glass & Coastal Art festival will feature over 50 artists, educational lectures, collectors’ displays, shard identification and contest, live music, food, drinks and much more! Plus a portion of proceeds with be donated to local Lake Erie conservation groups.
