New Haven, CT (PRWEB) June 28, 2012
Aspaeris, technical compression sportswear that improves performance, speeds recovery, and prevents injuries for female athletes, is pleased to announce the Aspaeris Challenge. Any female runner who sets a documented, new personal record in her Aspaeris Pivot Shorts at a half or full marathon is eligible. Aspaeris will donate $1 for every minute she takes off her prior time to the runner’s charity of choice. To participate and receive more information, runners should simply send an email to: kari(at)samarainnovations(dot)com.
The concept of the Aspaeris Challenge was recently inspired by Kaitlin Miller. After running the Amica Iron Horse Half Marathon on June 3, 2012 in her Pivot Shorts, she was thrilled with her performance. "My previous half marathon PR was 1:57:27, and at the Iron Horse half on Saturday I ran a 1:52:23!" Miller exclaimed on Facebook. She was declared the first Aspaeris Challenge winner and the Connecticut Farmland Trust was her charity of choice.
Prior Aspaeris donations have benefited The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training, The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, and Kohl’s Cares for Kids Sports Injury Prevention hospital partners. Aspaeris Pivot Shorts (APS™) are the only compression short designed specifically for females that improves performance, speeds recovery, and prevents injuries. In a recent survey, 80% of Pivot Short users reported a performance increase and 62% reported significantly faster recovery time when wearing the shorts after long runs. APS™ is being worn by thousands of new users and has been tested by over 100 premier sports medicine professionals and athletic trainers. APS™ was worn by the fastest all-female Ultra team in the Ragnar Relay SoCal 2012 and is a proud sponsor of the Hartford Marathon Foundation.
