DeZURIK, Inc., Sartell, Minnesota, has reached a definitive agreement to acquire HILTON Valve, Inc., a leading producer of fabricated large diameter and custom knife gate valves, effective July 9, 2012. The combining of HILTON products and operations with those of DeZURIK creates one of the broadest knife gate and engineered valve companies in the industry.

Under terms of the agreement, DeZURIK will acquire all HILTON products and production capability. HILTON operations will continue as a stand-alone business in their present Redmond, Washington facility which includes engineering and manufacturing to produce valves up to 144” in diameter. The HILTON name, well known and respected industry-wide, will be retained as a brand of DeZURIK, Inc. Consolidated sales activity will be coordinated between DeZURIK and HILTON through a worldwide sales and service organization and with continuing product technical and project engineering support provided by HILTON.

Acquisition of HILTON represents a major strategic expansion of DeZURIK knife gate valve capability and greatly broadens combined company ability to better serve all market segments. HILTON valve lines are used extensively on water, wastewater, energy, process and hydro applications with emphasis on problem solving and unique designs built to any U.S. and international standard. HILTON international experience adds to combined company scope with the opportunity to further extend joint global market participation.

Founded in 1952, HILTON was one of the first knife gate valve producers. In 1983, HILTON operations were redirected to focus exclusively on the design and manufacture of fabricated knife gate and other specialty valves. Today, HILTON is recognized as an innovator in knife gate valve technology and product development. The HILTON brand has built a reputation for product quality and performance and for customer and market responsiveness.

Throughout their history, both HILTON and DeZURIK have been pioneers in the development of knife gate valve technology and in the application engineering of a broad range of valve models and specialty designs. This combined product capability will consolidate a broad product range including standard, engineered and custom products. A common emphasis on quality and integrated manufacture are seen as critical elements in providing ongoing market responsiveness with a focus on meeting individual customer requirements.
