“We are looking forward to returning to Colorado with my Plein Air Colorado and Hawaii oil paintings and Danny's 14kt gold and sterling silver hand-made jewelry,” said Jan Bushart, president and founder of Plein Air Painters of Hawaii. “Our hearts go out to those affected by the wildfires and we are excited to donate 10% of our proceeds of our Boulder Show towards the fire victims,” Danny adds.
For the second consecutive summer, this talented husband-wife team will bring their award-winning artwork to the mainland; more importantly, to the beautiful majestic mountains of Colorado. Danny Bushart, owner of Romantic Jewelry, has been designing and crafting silver and gold jewelry for over 30 years. His work is inspired by the tropical environment in which he lives. Jan Bushart’s oil paintings are sought by collectors and art-lovers around the world. She uses color, tone, and light to convey the beauty of our natural world. “Colorado is like a second home to us,” says Jan. “We love the people, the scenery, and find inspiration in every meadow and on our trips into the mountains.” This year the Bushart’s have decided to donate 10% of their proceeds during the Boulder Festival of Arts, June 30th through July 1st at the 29th Street Mall, to the American Red Cross in support of the Colorado fire victims.
Jan Bushart, well known for her Plein Air oil paintings (painted on location), is the founder and president of Plein Air Painters of Hawaii, a flourishing organization with over 150 members. She has won numerous awards and honors, including being featured along with her organization in a nine-page spread and cover in International Artist Magazine August ’05. She paints up to 4 x 5 foot canvases on location throughout Hawaii and Colorado and other places in between. Jan Bushart will be showing a mixture of Colorado landscapes and Hawaii seascapes.
