A new app for an increasingly mobile world.
The new mortgage calculator app is one of several mobile apps planned for development by financial industry leader CalcXML. “We wanted to do something significant that would help our users to get their calculations on the go,” said Brian Barnett, a spokesperson for CalcXML. The company’s core audience in the mortgage industry is: brokers, loan officers, and students who all have one thing in common; they need a calculator on the go.
From the keyboard to the glass.
CalcXML has noticed trends that were published in popular news sources stating that Internet Explorer® is being overtaken by tablets as the browser of choice for this new generation. Therefore, the company will be translating its mortgage calculator to an interface that will be used by a whole new generation.
Plans for this new calculator app are in the rough stages, but the company does acknowledge that the app will be much more streamlined than previous versions of the mortgage calculator. The web user of today needs to swipe, select, and go, according to the company’s research data. This will be the plan for the architecture of the new mobile app. Engineers at CalcXML will actually “stopwatch” how long it takes to create a mortgage calculation using different versions of the app. This initial app will pioneer an entire suite of products that will focus on use and intelligence.
Getting a high user rating from a discerning, modern crowd.
Since the popularity and use of an app are largely based around user ratings, every effort will be made to improve the interfaces. Further testing will be done to prove ease of use in the product. After the fastest calculator interfaces have been selected, users will be timed on how long it takes them to understand how to use the new interface in addition to how quickly they can run mortgage calculations after repeated use. This will help the company to avoid confusion for first time users, and provide a more streamlined mortgage calculator app. No pricing information has been given at this time.
